This tradition was carried on by the previous master of ceremonies - Josh Mayhood.I’m proud to carry on the tradition (no not that tradition) of bringing on new and talented writers who are passionate about the Angels. As such, I would like to highlight them in much the same way as writers have been highlighted in the past, and help give them the tools and support they need to succeed. As a community, it’s also crucial to know these writers Tyler Anderson Jersey , to feel familiar and friendly with them, because that’s what makes Halos Heaven so special. These questions are almost the same original questions that Rev used back in the day with some slight modifications. If it ain’t broke - don’t fix it. Right? So, without further ado, let’s meet the Halos Heaven staff, shall we?I’ve been familiar with Brent through his writing on a site you have heard about called The Athletic. I’ve also followed him for some time on Twitter. Brent has been writing for The Athletic since April and the dude writes some great quality stuff. When Brent approached us to tell us wanted to write for Halos Heaven it was a no brainer. He needed another outlet, and we always try to welcome passionate and talented writers into the fold. Brent has a flair for analytics among other things so you will probably see that angle a lot in his writing.Brent is also the co-host of the Obsessive Baseball Podcast but that might be the last time you see us mention it here since we are trying to kick off our own podcasting here at Halos Heaven. You know, conflict of interest and all that jazz.In case you had any doubt to the kind of guy Brent is, he went to Spring Training with our own Rahul Setty and they have spent some time together. Rahul is a good dude and when he speaks well of other dudes that’s about all I need to know.Brent is a huge addition to Halos Heaven. Welcome aboard Brent! Now http://www.rockiesfanproshop.com/authentic-chad-bettis-jersey , without further ado, here is what Brent had to say:WHO WAS THE FIRST ANGELS PLAYER YOU DECIDED WAS "YOUR GUY"?Vladimir Guerrero is the first player who got me invested into baseball and specifically the Angels. 10-year-old Brent was fascinated by Vlad’s ability to hit any and every pitch to any spot on the field along with the swagger he possessed.WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CURRENT ANGEL AND WHY?Mike Trout. A simple look at Trout’s Fangraphs page and his YouTube highlight reels is sufficient evidence to why he is not only the best player in baseball but also the most enjoyable. WHICH SIDE OF THE "STATS VS CHEMISTRY" DEBATE ARE YOU ON AND WHY?A blend of both ideas is needed in a baseball setting but I am much more interested in the statistical aspect of baseball. Stats are not only quantifiable evidence that can describe players’ values but they are fun to utilize in arguments over which player is better, how much money a free agent is worth or whether or not a particular trade is fair.PICK A SONG FOR THE 7TH INNING STRETCHAfter years of playing Buttercup (a literal song about being let down), it’s only fitting to use “Sweet Victory” by David Glen Eisley to have a winning vibe during the 7th inning stretch.IF YOU WERE IN CHARGE OF THE ANGELS SUMMER CONCERT SERIES, NAME THE PERFORMER YOU BREAK THE BANK TO GET...Metallica is the easy choice for meSAY SOMETHING BALLSY / CONTROVERSIAL FOR US TO REMEMBER YOU BY...Mike Scioscia was a well above-average manager, even at the end of his tenure with a lot of mediocre Angels clubs. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — New York Yankees All-Star closer Aroldis Chapman could return next week from nearly a month on the disabled list.Chapman has not pitched since Aug. 21 because of left knee tendinitis, which has bothered him throughout the season. The 30-year-old left-hander threw a bullpen session Wednesday and was to return to New York for treatment. Manager Aaron Boone anticipates another bullpen session this weekend, then a return.“Hopefully back with us http://www.rockiesfanproshop.com/authentic-chad-bettis-jersey , if everything goes well, sometime next week,” Boone said before Wednesday’s game at Minnesota.Chapman has a 2.11 ERA and 31 saves in 33 chances. Dellin Betances has closed mostly in Chapman’s absence. New York’s bullpen also includes David Robertson, Zach Britton and Chad Green.“You can look at it the same way you look at our lineup,” Boone said. “When we were at our best, one of the reasons was the length of our lineup. We’re able to hurt you from everywhere. … Same way with our bullpen. When you add another guy of Chapman’s capabilities to an already strong group, it just allows you in some cases and on some days to shorten the game even more.”
